State set record for voter turnout

CONCORD — New Hampshire had a record voter turnout on Tuesday.

The Secretary of State’s office says 720,030 residents voted. More than 72,000 voted by absentee ballot.

This week’s election was the first time more than 700,000 residents voted.

Voters went mostly for Democrats, including in the presidential race.
